Number of years of coaching: 49 multiple sports, 42 in volleyball.  Where I coached:  17 years in HS (Deerborne (FL) Millard North (NE), 7 years in college (Bellevue University head coach 6 years, Creighton Asst 1 year), 32 years in club all RC.  Where I played:  University of Miami (FL).  Why I love coaching: I have loved coaching for almost five full decades.  The exhilaration of watching players and teams develop through hard work and having fun are what I feel are keys to success. Coaching youth sports is so much more than the sport, it is about life lessons and learning from adversity to be prepared for those later life scenarios.

Number of years of coaching: 26 years.  Where I coached:  River City Juniors 15 and 18's, Beveridge Magnet School 7th/8th grade, and I have done TVA clinics and coaching too.  Where I played:  Basketball at UNO.  Why I love coaching: For me it is about growth and educating.  Watching these young athletes grow into their best "self" through sport and for life.  I also enjoy and appreciate the relationships with both athletes and coaches.

Having fun while competing at their highest level, creating great relationships that last beyond the club season, and creating opportunities for players to grow are a few more reasons why I love to coach.

Why I love coaching I coach because I enjoy watching the girls grow in their confidence, their abilities to form friendships and work as a team, and to help them find life lessons on and off the court that will make them strong and successful women in the future.  And of course to train the volleyball player to enhance their skills and become a better volleyball player and more importantly a better young woman.

Where I played:  Creighton University and overseas in Peru.  Why I love coaching: I love coaching volleyball because I love the sport and enjoy being around others who love it too. It's fun to build relationships with people and see how players improve each practice and help them achieve their mini and long-term goals.

Number of years of coaching: 4 years.  Where I coached:  Alamosa High School(CO), Adams State University(CO), University of Nebraska at Omaha This is my first year with RC.  Where I played:  Adams State University and University of Nebraska at Omaha Mens club volleyball. Why I love coaching: I love coaching because of the life lessons that we all continue to learn from sports not only in the gym but out of the gym also. Coaching is not just about helping kids become great volleyball players but it's about putting them in situations where they have to be stronger than what they thought they could be.

I grew up in the volleyball world so I am always up for a challenge at any level.

Number of years of coaching: 2 years Where I coached:  Meridian Club Volleyball, this is my 1st year with RCJ.  Where I played:  Mostly rec/club ball in college, and now adults.  Why I love coaching:  Teaching others what I know has always been a passion of mine. Seeing an athlete accomplish a goal individually is such a great feeling!

Number of years of coaching: 12 years in club, high school and college.  Where I coached:  I spent 3 years at Pfeiffer University coaching both the Men and Women’s program.  After that I spent 2.5 years at Chadron State College. I now am coaching at Bellevue West High School. I have been with RC for three years.Where I played:  I played club for River city and Pittsburg State University.  Why I love coaching: I really enjoy coaching because I love the training aspect of the game! I enjoy watching each athlete grow as a player and person throughout the season!

Number of years of coaching: Two years with River City Jrs  Where I coached:  River City and Where I played:  Hastings College.  Why I love coaching I have always loved the game and like to push different limits; whether that be mental, physical, or even emotional at times. I love seeing players push through their limits when they have doubt or don't think it was possible. There is much for me to learn as a coach, I enjoy the process and hope to become better every year.

A few of the main reasons are that I love to: build relationships with the players, watch players grow fundamentally, emotionally, and socially, and develop a team mindset of persistence, competitiveness, and selflessness.

Where I played:  Mens Adult Leagues.  Why I love coaching: I love coaching because it is my way of giving what I felt I never got when I was a young athlete wanting to be my best.  Being able to see the potential that no one else can in every kid may seem innocent or ignorant but you develop athletes like you do mining, you don't go in looking for dirt, you go in looking for gold.

I like the lifelong friends that the girls and boys have by the end of the season. I like watching development of players from when they are first beginning volleyball to potentially playing collegiate athletics.

Number of years of coaching: Five years in club.  Where I coached:  River City, TVA, and Top Ten VBC. Where I played:  Harlan Community High School.  Why I love coaching: The sport of volleyball gave me so much growing up, and I developed so many of my life skills through the game. I am very passionate about this sport, and love that I get to give back to the game through coaching. I feel fulfilled through the connections made with players, and find it very rewarding to watch them develop and improve throughout the season.

Number of years of coaching: 17 years, in club and high school.  Where I coached:   High school—JV at Omaha Mercy (2009), Varsity head coach at Louisville High School (2012-13) Nebraska City High (2014-15), Weeping Water HS (2016).  Currently Varsity head coach at Omaha Roncalli (2018-). River City, TVA and various clubs in Omaha and asst. coach at Dana College in 2006.  Where I played:  men’s club 1997-99.  Various sand and indoor leagues.  Why I love coaching: It’s easy to say “I love volleyball,” but I truly enjoy the game.  I enjoy teaching the game but also learning and improving as a coach. One of the most rewarding parts of coaching is to see players succeed in improving a skill that they thought they couldn’t do.  Seeing kids take those steps forward make it fun!
